Gulliver Curry in Hiroshima

Small place but great Japanese curry, friendly service and English menus. Definitely recommended for a quick bite if you're shopping in the Hondori area. Maps is listing the name of this place in English as 'Gulliver' but it's actually called 'Gariber'.

Curry is a curry good way to remember a drink and some phrase. It is delicious and you can eat it like swallowing in a blink of an eye.

A curry shop located on a side street of Hiroshima's downtown area. It's a Japanese-style curry rice, but it's richer and more flavorful than spice. The price is somewhat, but once you taste it, you nod your head. When you want to eat curry in Hiroshima, this is the first place you'll remember.

Great curry! Would definitely come back for more! They have an english menu and staff speak a little English too. Not a very large place, but it's one of those hole in the wall places that does really good food. 👍 Wish I'd taken a photo before devouring it though.

I ordered bacon and mushroom curry. 1000 yen with mini salad. The curry roux was good because the beef was boiled well and loosened.The spiciness is specified as medium spicy, and I liked the moderate spice aroma and stimulation. Free until medium spicy. Large spices up 20 yen. You can still specify on it.

Small and delicious Japanese curry restaurant by Hondori St shopping area. Oishii curry! I had the bacon and mushroom with garlic and it was wonderful. I also had a taste of the black beef curry and it was great as well. You can choose your spice level from 1 to 20. They charge a bit extra if you go over 4 (to make sure you’re committed to your choice). Coming from the states where I’m used to a bit spicier food, I found a 6 to be a pleasantly spicy experience. They do have English menus available and the staff do understand quite a bit and are very friendly and helpful.

Don't be fooled by the Internet recommendation... In the summer of August, the whole store was very hot and there was no air-conditioning. The photo was "beef curry" and the rice was not good....not recommended or Will consider going to the meal again....

One of the most delicious Japanese curries I have ever had, accomodating for English only speakers, and really well priced. It was so good I wanted another serving. Beautiful little shop and well worth the wait if there is a line. For spice lovers go a bit higher on the scale, I got a level 4 but it was quite mild for me. Will definitely go again next time I am in Hiroshima!!

As you walk past Hondori, the smell of Japanese curry comes to your mind. If you're tired of Coco Ichibanya curry, which is famous for its rich Japanese curry, I recommend going to this house for a little more.

To be clear, it's bad. The garbage was in it, the worst. I will never go again.

Use yellow rice, chose the median grade curry. Just slightly spicy for me who are use to thai, indonesian and indian curry. Have to pay for the more spicy grade. Curry rice is good with topping. They have english menu. Can store your bag overhead. Serve beer too.
